Locks of Love Video
June 9th, 2009To get a feel for the difference that Locks of Love makes in these special children’s lives, please take a few minutes to watch the following videos.
Please Be Our Guest
June 9th, 2009I’d like to cordially invite everyone who’s reading this to come down to Christophe Salon in Beverly Hills on June 10th between 4-7pm to participate in our Locks of Love fundraiser. Let’s run down some of the reasons you need to be there:
- The event is completely open to the public, so everyone’s invited!
- You don’t need to donate your hair, all salon services will benefit Locks of Love.
- Free food and drinks are always a good sticking point.
- It’s for a good cause.
- I’ll be there, Causecast will be there.
- It’s for an amazing cause.
If you’ll be in the LA area tomorrow, please find your way over to Beverly Hills and help us make a difference in some kids lives.

Locks of Love
June 9th, 2009This is what it’s all about. I’ve talked a lot about me on this site, but this fundraiser is not about me in the slightest. This is for the kids who are going through an awful, traumatic time in their lives, and Locks of Love who helps them get through it just a little bit easier.
Here’s Locks of Love in their own words: Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.
If you’re interested in hosting an event, contributing financially, or donating your own hair, please check out their site for more information. Many salons are already set up to donate your hair directly, or you can even cut your own hair and send it in by following this simple video.
Most importantly, just find a way to make a difference.
An Introduction to Causecast
June 1st, 2009Causecast.org has been near and dear to my heart for the past year and a half. I’ve watched them grow from a great idea into a great site that’s making legitimate change in the world. I’ve got fantastic friends there that I know I will have for a lifetime. In just a little over a week from now, Causecast is going to help me put on this once in a lifetime event. I can’t talk highly enough about them, so here’s Levi Felix with a little bit more about the company:
Based on the understanding that all causes are inherently connected, we believe global change must be achieved through collaboration and individual action. Causecast is an online global community and social action network that connects, promotes and empowers individuals, businesses and nonprofits with media, resources and groundbreaking tools that transform interest into action, directly influencing positive change. By measuring our progress, we will have an increasingly large impact on the course of history. Join us at Causecast.org
Please check out Causecast.org. Join and find a way to get involved today. Every big change starts very small.
