After over two years, I’m finally going to cut my hair. For those of you that don’t know, in the spring of 2007, I decided to start growing my hair with the purpose of donating it to Locks of Love. I’d always wanted to grow my hair long, and knew about Locks of Love through friends and family members that had worked with the organization in the past, so it seemed like a perfect fit.
So much to the dismay of my family, who thought I was going to look like a complete mess (which I do) and the derision of my friends who claimed I was just turning into another Californian hippy (which I kind of am), I started on this awesome path. It’s probably close to the laziest form of donation ever considering the only thing I had to do, was not do something: cut my hair. But I’ve had a blast doing it. There’s plenty of fun photos and experiences, and plenty of embarrassing photos and annoying experiences that I’ll be sharing over the course of the next few weeks as I count down to cutting my hair.
Keep checking back in and I’ll let you know when and where the big event is going to be, how you can watch, and where you can donate.

Yes, this really is my hair and the front of my head
I beat you to it.
But I’m proud of you nonetheless that’s an awesome thing you’re doing.
For a hippy.
You patchouli-smelling bastard. I’ll come to the event with a riot stick, to make you feel welcomed.
Hippy!
I’m so stoked and also proud of you. Go get ‘em tiger!
Keep me updated on the haps, Caps.
+1 for the riot stick
I really wanted to see you before you cut it all off. Woo woo woo for me.
